Parramatta City Council has introduced a SMS text service, allowing residents to submit service requests to the council via text message to 0418 805 884. The service has been introduced as a response to the changing needs of the community, enabling residents to SMS Council service requests at any time of the day or night from any location, providing they have mobile phone coverage. Parramatta City Council is embracing an online future with the launch of new, innovative online applications, which will enable residents to contact Council more quickly and efficiently in real time via the web. The applications are initiatives of Council’s eParra project, aimed at delivering technology to improve and support community and business effectiveness, and will include a venue booking system and residential parking permit renewal application, as part of the first phase of the project.
